Guangzhou BRT, the Guangzhou BRT system, has been planned for construction for four years at a cost of 1.3 billion yuan. On November 31, 2008, Guangzhou BRT started construction. On February 10, 2010, Guangzhou BRT test line was officially opened, with 51 BRT bus lines. Guangzhou BRT stops longer than ordinary stations. BRT Normal University Jinan University station can stop 12 buses at the same time on one side, which is the longest bus station in the world so far. The peak passenger flow of Guangzhou BRT is more than twice that of other BRT Systems in China.
